7:15 this morning
I’m always posting pictures of sunsets and that’s because from my house, here on the southwest coast of Norway, I see a lot of them. Words can not describe how beautiful they are and so I take pictures almost every night to prove it.
What I can’t see from my windows is the sunrise. But this morning I saw something better, I saw the moon setting in daylight.
I really do need to get a better camera, because these pictures in no way do justice to this rare and beautiful sight…

I can only imagine seeing the reality. You live in beauty….
Thank you!
What a dream place! It is nice to ” see ” it even though it accompanies you every day. It is called, living in the moment, it’s the only way of living truly
Magical time of day, isn’t it Maggie
very few cameras rarely give super photos
hi maggie, what a beautiful sighting, the early bird sees all the pretty things that everyone else misses, and few others appreciate. i love my nikon dsl and it does make a difference. nikon also makes excellent point & shoot camera’s, newer technology, you will see a difference in your pictures!!
you are welcome to use my entry. it only touches lightly on the devastation, and there are no photo’s. you could preface it by saying that i refuse to photograph people’s homes and business in this condition and then splashing them onto the internet. it seems so impersonable. if you need any help with it, let me know. thanks mags, i am so happy to have found you and to have this wonderful connection!!
Thanks Debbie, me too!
Gorgeous!
Beautiful! I awoke the other morning to the moon setting in the west and it shined into my foyer window so brightly it lit up the room! I grabbed my camera and took a photo, but you’re right, you just can’t capture the sheer beauty of the moment!
I know, I’m always disappointed when I see the pictures. But it was beautiful and I’m glad you got to experience it too (from the other side of the world)
I absolutely love watching the moonset and you did so well with these pictures (it’s so hard to capture the beauty of the moon!) π
When our ‘transferred’ house is up and livable I get the most beautiful views of the moon setting over the mountains. Your images really reminded me of that and I can’t wait π
I think you and your camera did a fine job capturing the magic.
I am in complete agreement. Beautiful shots! π
Maggie, I just wanted to let you know that I have nominated you for a Gargie Award. π
