Summer so far…
I
Have you ever had trouble making up your mind? It looks like this flower did. I took this picture in my garden.
Do you ever feel like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders? Well, this guy does. I took this picture in Monterosso Italy.
Have you ever had a submarine sandwich? Jersey Mike’s are the best! I took this picture in Brick, New Jersey.
Is there anything better than a cup of tea with an old friend? This is my friend Annie, we met in kindergarden. This picture was taken on her front porch in Jersey.
Is there anything more precious than a baby? I would have to say, no. I took this picture of my granddaughter last week in Norway.
Have you ever seen pink and purple water? It always amazes me. I took this picture a few weeks ago from my kitchen window in Norway.
How about orange water? This picture was taken at midnight. Don’t you just love Norwegian sunsets!

You’re quite a photographer, Maggie – this is a wonderful post! You have packed such a lot of fun (and exhausting!) things into your summer. Those pictures are just wonderful – I love the colours in the sunset. I love all of the pics, little baby is so, so cute! That statue… wow! π
Aww…thanks Kate, but I’m really just an amateur, with a cheap camera. I think it helps to have good subject matter π and I did!
Seriously, you do a really good job – keep it up! It’s great taking pictures of the things you like or are inspired by! π
Almost sensory overload. I have to look at the photos slowly. I can even smell things from those pictures!
Thanks Jon, I knew you would appreciate a good Norwegian sunset. I hope you’re having a great summer too…
love all your pictures! i enjoy a cup of tea now when i read your blog… like the one we shared on your deck and my porch! nothing sweeter than a dear old friend! till we share our next cup of tea.. enjoy! xoxo
Thats sweet Annie, I can’t wait!
Amazing pics x
Thank you!
Just wonderful, I enjoyed both the lovely photographs and the commentary that went with. I really like the rose photo though, I think it has great character! π

Congratulations on having such a beautiful and precious grand-daughter. π The selection of pictures you selected to post are all very lovely.
Thanks for stopping by and I’m glad you liked them π
What a beautiful post, Maggie–and a lovely synopsis of your summer. The views from your home are exquisite and I am so glad that you have them to enjoy. It looks so peaceful there, second only to the sweet peace of a beautiful sleeping baby granddaughter, I’d guess. How wonderful to have a friend since kindergarten, too!

Thanks Lily and when you sum it up so nicely, I guess I’m pretty lucky π

Thank you for stopping by, I’ll pop on over and visit you too – soon π
Maggie, these pictures show you sensitivity to the oneness of nature. thy also demonstrate your skill with photography. I love your captions too. Great post!
Thank you June, its easy to take a good picture when you have a good subject π
And its nothing compared to your talent…
oh, I beg to differ! the hardest and most important part of painting is deciding what to paint in the first place. Your decision on what to photograph is exactly the same. Some photographers are artist at what they do and some are not. You are an artist!
You are much too kind… Thank you!
it’s funny – but Norwegian sunsets remind me of MInnesota sunsets – I’ll be posting about them soon
beautifier pictures and it looks like you had a wonderful trip!
I can’t wait to see pictures from your trip. You know there are a lot of Norwegians living in Minnesota π
The 4th picture down would make a good toemail picture. Is that in Brick, New Jersey as well? http://toemail.wordpress.com
Yes it is… Brick, NJ. Would you like it?
Sure, if you do mind?
